"Kuwait and Bahrain have banned theaters from showing The Kingdom, a Hollywood thriller set in Saudi Arabia, Variety.com said Wednesday.
The first Hollywood movie made in Abu Dhabi, The Kingdom is about an elite FBI team that goes to Saudi Arabia to investigate a terror attack on a U.S. compound.
It is loosely based on the 1996 Khobar Towers bombings in Saudi Arabia, in which an Islamic fundamentalist cell attacked a U.S. compound, killing 19 U.S. servicemen."

i've seen the movie, itz soo soo GOOD don't miss it !
How retarded honestly. It started showing in Oman in Eid so that region isnt that big on censorship. Did they give out any reason as why they banned this movie? tarnished a reputation and image?
"Kuwait has accused the film of misrepresenting facts surrounding the bombings.
"The screening of the film has been banned in Kuwait for many reasons, chiefly because it is a false depiction of facts," a source at the cinema committee of Kuwait's information ministry told AFP."
